Fuelmyblog is a community for bloggers that was created last year in February 2007 by Kevin Dixie and myself.

We both started to grow an interest in blogging and found it difficult to move forward or communicate with other bloggers in an inviting and spam free community.

The community started to grow "organically" with both of us checking every single new blogs that applied to register with Fuelmyblog.

Today and a year on we are still checking every single blogs.

We refuse to swap to an automated system that would make life "easier" but would also mean that we would lose control over splogs and spam which we consistently reject on daily basis.

Why register with Fuel?

1. Increase your online traffic

We like to compare Fuel to a place to talk and have fun with other bloggers.

It brings traffic providing that people engage with other bloggers and take part in the various conversations that go on.

When bloggers have registered we advise to all the newbies:

  • To introduce themselves in the forum.
  • To start looking at other blogs on the site and to give them a "fuel" with a message to show them that they have enjoyed what they have read.
  • To add the Fuelmyblog Friends Widget or Fuelroll on their blog
  • Write on the Fuelmyblog’s blog. We are always listening to the users and will welcome guest posts on FMB ‘s blog which we feel belongs to the users as much as the team.

All this points will quickly enable new bloggers to enlarge a network of bloggers / friends and will result in more genuine and frequent readers to their blog.

2. Win fabulous prizes

We also have some great competitions on weekly basis so there is always a chance to win something new and we have also recently started a live blog tv show that again enable users to join in conversations and topics about blogging.

fuel my blog

We now have over 10 000 users. We are very pleased with the way Fuelmyblog is going, or goal is to get more users involved and active within the Fuel community rather than increase the figure of users dramatically.

We have lots of fun projects for 2008 so stay tuned and if you have not joined yet why not give it a go?

That’s it from me, thank you Linky Love for having me here, if anybody would like to ask me any questions I will be happy to answer them in the comment area.

Thank you 😉
