My debt blog

My debt blog is the journey of a Stay at home Mom, mother of 4 in becoming debt free.

This is a hands on blog by example, so I love posts like January Wrap Up.

When money is scarce, it can be a daily struggle just to put food on the table. Once that is done, you get more ideas about Tax rebate calculators and anything that comes her way in order to make ends meet.

This blog constantly reminds me a bit of Suze Orman who also had to experience massive debts before she became the savvy money adviser she is today.

Decision makers are wasting money big time and people like you and me need to fight hard just to make ends meet… something doesn’t add up, no calculator needed for that :-(

How you can become Blog of the Weekend

Mas Selamat

Mas Selamat

Singaporean police hunts down Mas Selamat, Malaysian Police hunts down Nasi Lemak (which is an other word for coconut rice if you are from overseas…). Let’s compare Singaporean and Malaysian jails…

Mas Selamat: fear in Singapore

Mas Selamat bin Kastari is famous for his plan to bomb Singapore Changi Airport in 2002 (by crashing a plane through the airport… so you can imagine where he gets his ideas…).

Mas Selamat escaped from the Whitley Road Detention Centre 2 days ago (Wednesday 27 February), where he was being held following his deportation from Indonesia to Singapore in February 2006.

Mas Selamat Wanted Worldwide

Knowing Mas Selamat’s track record, he must be somewhere in Singapore or on his way to Indonesia or… what about neighbour Malaysia?

Malaysia’s democracy: fear in Malaysia

If you happen to make a demonstration these days on the streets in Malaysia, you will get the police splashing you with teargas, even if you are accompanied with your children…

Next week is elections in Malaysia: only the ruling party can make advertisement in the papers, radio and TV… what kind of democracy is that?

One of the slogans is: Vote for peace and security, vote the ruling party…

Is this a jail?

malaysian prison

See the bars at the window? Looks like a jail, right?

But when had jail such nice chairs and curtains?

Well, it’s a picture of a Malaysian house. Maybe the insides are different, but the windows and doors have bars, just like a jail.

Why?

Because we feel scared!

If we had a government that had a police force that would keep an eye on security, would we barricade our houses like this?

Of course not!

I would love to vote for peace and security,
but that’s not what I have got from the ruling party :-(

I feel reasonably secure in my house,
I don’t feel secure at all in Malaysia…

In Malaysia: your house is your jail :-(

Space War: Spy Satellite ‘Kill’ Would Prove U.S. Capability of wasting money BIG TIME

Some countries like Cuba manage to keep a car rolling for more than 50 years:

picture of fidel castro

Picture of Fidel Castro’s legacy:
don’t spend money if you have no other choice

Some countries like US manage to destroy satellites without even using them:

spy satellite

Destruction of "Spy Satellite":
Spend billions making a satellite
Don’t use it because it is useless
Spend billions on a navy ship
Spend even more on missiles

Then shoot it all in oblivity!

Do you want a vintage car or nothing shot into nowhere?

What is Bush complaining about Fidel Castro during and now even after Fidel Castro in Power? Is it really necessary to spend billions on useless things when you could have spend it on 25% of your population getting some healthcare done?

But we shoot the satellite out of health concern! ????

Apart of the question: why did you have to make the satellite in the first place…

1. Listen to the "intelligent" reason to shoot down the spy satellite

Government officials say they are concerned that the fuel tank could land in a populated area, rupture and turn into a toxic gas.

2. Listen to the "intelligent" reason why satellite derby won’t harm us

Government officials say : since about three-quarters of the world is water and a small percent is inhabited…

Are they talking about the same earth as in reason 1?
yes they are…

Oh I see….

There are about 100 re-entries of space debris each year with few, if any, reports of injuries.

How accurate is : with few if any…

And we all sit by and watch, wondering why our beloved US is going bankrupt and of course dragging it’s people in it first, polluting the entire planet earth again a bit extra?

No problem says the Government, we are wise: we just landed our Space shuttle so no derby will hurt that one, with few if any…
