The Defense Department says the portable device isn’t perfect, but is accurate enough to save American lives by screening local police officers, interpreters and allied forces for access to U.S. military bases, and by helping narrow the list of suspects after a roadside bombing. The device has already been tried in Iraq and is expected to be deployed there as well. “We’re not promising perfection — we’ve been very careful in that,” said Donald Krapohl, special assistant to the director at the Defense Academy for Credibility
Assessment, the midwife for the new device.

Some of the short comings of the device:

• both the proponents and critics agree on one thing: This new device is likely to be less accurate than a polygraph, because it gathers less physiological information.
• oops: gathering less physiological information in a war zone where everybody is ‘de facto’ stressed out… that’s going to be as accurate as measuring the distance between the earth and the moon with your thumb…
• So a US solder will ask an Afghan : "did you put this bomb here"? (just after an explosion… which triggers lots of emotions anyway…) and the Afghan most likely needs a translator…
• so how do you narrow the list of suicide bomber suspects after a roadside???

Really DoD: WHO YOU GONNA ASK?

Oh well: if we can go to war in Iraq and spend billions with no results, then why not create a device with equally no results… lead by example!

After 9 months of Linky Love, we still don’t rank number 1 for Make Money Online, for the same reason John Chow isn’t ranking number one either: just because Google doesn’t like what we are doing.

Anyway, after 9 months of trying and having been on the first SERP when John Chow was ranking number 1, I quit the game that nobody knew about. If you know Sally Chow, you know that there are much more important things in life than beating people with similar names…

The average over our first 9 months is about 300$ a day. That’s cute if you make less but that’s quite little if you need to support yourself, let alone your family.

So is Linky Love THE place to be to learn about making money online? Well: if you want to be a full time blogger, you need more advice than Linky Love is giving you by example.

French Swear Words is a money making machine

Where I am making my money on the Internet these days is at French Swear Words. If you have a look at my $713 month 6 earnings you see that:

I spent $47 and bought the Super Affiliate Handbook from Rosalind Gardner. In her book she teaches you how to pick the best affiliate programs!

I applied the Super Affiliate Handbook techniques and earned the first month about $300 dollars selling French courses. Invest less than $50 and make 300$…

The next month my income doubled, where Linky Love’s earnings without affiliate income were stagnating…

So the problem I have now is: yes I know how to make money online, but I cannot show it with Linky Love as an example.

You could say: why don’t I sell more affiliate stuff here? Because you can read in the Super Affiliate Handbook that once you find a winner, stick to it, don’t waste time looking for another winner if yo are happy with what you earn. And I am very happy

1. make sure that a user clicks on an advertising link, not any link
   TODO: get rid of all these links on the frontpage that are not earning any money
2. make sure that your contextual ads are having a nice payout
   TODO: heoretically use Google Adwords and see which ads pay well, then attract those ads on your website.
   Practically: don’t ramble around like I do about Charlène Vanneste if you write a blog about how to make money online. A French subject like Charlène Vanneste should go on my French blog...
   If you ramble about anything and everything, you could end up with a high visitors count, yet a very low payment of the advertising you are showing.
   Stick to 1 topic where the ads are well paid and you have lot’s of things to say about.
3. attract more visitors
   TODO: source new visitors with new SEO ideas, marketing ideas, communities… don’t just do what you are doing now
   (quite vague, best thing is to go and read other blogs and get new, fresh ideas! : step out of your comfortzone!)

How to improve writing reviews for money?

You need to improve your blog according to the guidelines given by any of the paid to blog services.

• Personally I am very disappointed with PayPerPost having a RealRank 1 didn’t give me any big opportunity.
• Blogsvertise and Smorty still rely on PageRank, which for a blog with a high amount of visitors like mine, I love ReviewMe and SponsoredReviews.

Yet, last month there was no money coming in from any of these blogging for money services, so :

Again: go to other sites and see what they are doing when it comes to making money online.
