• if you are using SEO, be prepared that for competitive keywords, you could end up waiting 1 year before you get your competitive keywords number 1.

Advantages of SEO

If you know about finding niche sites, you will rank number 1 in a couple of days for not too competitive keywords.

You can also find SEO tips and tricks and a niche keyword research tool in Atomic Blogging, but you can also find those tips and tricks scattered all over the Linky Love site

1. Use SM to attract more visitors

Rihanna is using SM to attract more visitors. I mean: she is supposed to be a singer right? But adding a bit of sexy spicy stuff in it, and you get a much bigger audience than before. Call it "the oldest trick in the book" attracting fresh visitors.

It doesn’t have to be SM, BDSM or whatever flavor, it just has to be spicy.

How to attract most visitors

Use all 3 methods above and remember:

• if your website is new, you gain the most traffic with Social Media Optimization
• start using SEO at the beginning of your blog, but be patient until it slowly starts picking up momentum. Meanwhile get your visitors through Social Media Optimization
• add some sexy spice, visitors love to return to sexy spicy blogs (people are people…)

It took me a long time to find out John Chow’s strategy to make money online, but this video shows it: "it’s all about making buzz".

Once the buzz attracts loads and loads of visitors then:

• start advertising his brainchild TTZ
• look for advertisers that love to be seen around a buzz.

In other words:

write a blog to attract visitors, and then
send them to places where they will be monetized.

Fuelmyblog is a community for bloggers that was created last year in February 2007 by Kevin Dixie and myself.

We both started to grow an interest in blogging and found it difficult to move forward or communicate with other bloggers in an inviting and spam free community.

The community started to grow "organically" with both of us checking every single new blogs that applied to register with Fuelmyblog.

Today and a year on we are still checking every single blogs.

We refuse to swap to an automated system that would make life "easier" but would also mean that we would lose control over splogs and spam which we consistently reject on daily basis.

2. Know what men want

Internet Marketing is not rocket science.

Some human desires are rooted so deep that you just have to look at the past, to know what still works in the present:

Men love women and red

It shows in depictions of the bible and Sandra Oh (left) and Madonna (right)…
know what men love as well…

This kind of general ideas gives you general traffic: your visitors will drop by for sure!

But… what’s the quality of the visitors who crashed your webserver by looking at all the naked girls in the Cecilia Cheung Scandal and Edison Chen Scandal?

3. Niche Marketing

Niche Marketing is not rocket science either: blind men won’t be interested in the general Internet Marketing explained above.

So to reach this audience: you need to be able to answer the question: "What do blind men want?".

And the easiest way to know what a niche market wants :

you ask them!

You feel tricked by my answer?

If you don’t know your niche market up close and personal, then you won’t be able to give them what they need!

It’s really as simple as that.

4. SEO rule number 1

As simple as " know your market" is rule number 1 in Marketing, rule number 1 in Search Engine Optimization is:

write passionately about what you want to rank high for.

I can hear you say : "content is king, seen that, done that…"

You can only rank high in the search engine if you deserve to be there. I mean: if I write 1 post about Sandra Oh, of course I won’t be ranking as high as the real fan sites writing daily about Sandra Oh.

5. SEO rule number 2

A search engine is a piece of software.

To make your SEO more efficient, you feed this software with another software like my favorite SEO-Elite.

Even if your content is king: somebody else with similar content but "doing everything right" for the search engines will rank much higher than you.

Why?

Because you are human and the search engine is not.

Therefore you need some help from a computer program to feed the search engines exactly what they want and how they want it.

Because you get lifelong updates!

Every time something changes on the side of the search engines, SEO-Elite will be updated accordingly and…

you can concentrate on writing on topic content,

6. Interact with other websites

In normal life, you only know the people you interact with.

You learn a lot from the people you interact with. So use the same tactic on the Internet.

Join in forums, leave comments on the sides you visit or give away something for free like :

Attention first, money later

As soon as you get people’s attention, you need to sell your own product. Quite difficult at first when people come to see a pretty face, yet if you just stick to your marketing-strategy, you should be able to make money.

Sometimes it works, sometimes not, but when you know that the Milk Mustache Campaign already runs for 10 years, you know you only need one winner and ride that one out.

When doesn’t it work? When you see it doesn’t work… that’s the basic rocket science to apply… Always test what you are doing before considering opening the big bazookas!

It get’s a bit more extreme when people just try to fool you big time and selling you an illusion. That’s exactly what is happening with the 2006 issue of EasyFinder magazine:

Using Gillian Chung to promote your stuff is 1 thing, tricking people into pictures they don’t approve, that’s a complete other thing.
