One way to attract more visitors is to offer what they can’t find on the Internet. You do need to know what people are looking for and what they can’t find in the first place! It is called a niche, yet that’s really a big word for a small thing, meaning there are different kind of niches.

Using Google Trends Lab you can easily find out what people are looking for at this very moment. During the Zoey Zane tragedy, people were looking for the Zoey Zane website which was down, so it was quite easy to fill up that niche.
Speed is important, because lots of other people are using this tactics as well!
I immediately Googled for all I could find about Zoey Zane (yes, you need to know how to Google…), wrote a post about Zoey Zane and saw my visitors sky rocketing: every second a new visitor!
Downside of this method:
- as with every method, you have to compete with the people that master this method
- your blog needs to be visited a few times a day by the search engine robots
- if you don’t master the method, you need to sit and wait until a real niche shows up, in this case somebody took down the Zoey Zane website, so the niche was born
You just do it to get more visitors…
I got lots of feedback that I was writing a post "just to get more visitors"… Ok, which of you that gave me that feedback writes for the purpose of nobody reading what they post???
And my post gave answers to what people where looking for, not at all fooling them with the Zoey Zane virus!
You could do it with really bad intentions…

Now it doesn’t even matter who of the 3 above girls is Zoey Zane: Google Trends Lab told us that people were looking for Zoey Zane Videos so the following Zoey Zane video appeared:

So in stead of Zoey Zane photos, Zhang Ziyi pictures were used. Most likely with the logic: gosh: the names also start with Z Z: Zoey Zane – Zhang Ziyi… If you ever saw a Zhang Ziyi gallery, you would have known there are no real Zhang Ziyi nude pictures online at all…
And mentioning that this was your best solution since the Zoey Zane website was down…
You must be blind if you don’t see the difference, but people did click on the Zhang Ziyi picture, just to get a message that they needed to upgrade their Flash Player.
Clicking this so called Zoey Zane video meant installing malicious malware or a trojan on your computer…
Summarized
Using Google Trends Lab is yet another way of getting more visitors to your website.
- Advantage: instant famous post, incredible amount of Google visitors
- Disadvantages:
- you need to "monitor the Internet" , that’s why I have my toplist directory showing daily visitors not to miss any trend
- your blog needs to be spidered "almost constantly"
- you need to compete with others using Google Trends Lab "professionally"
- you need to be able to gather the info fast and post it even faster
- the topic needs to fit in your blog
- the topic needs to fit your personality (do you really want to blog about naked pictures of death people in the Zoey Zane case???)
- once the trend is over, your visitors are gone
