When people look at you as if you’re from another planet when you’re discussing blogging- you’re a geek. I get that “Huh?” look all the time. The last time I put underwear on they didn’t have a hole in the front, so I’m assuming I’m still female. I’ve been blogging for 5 years, 3 years on the same domain. What is so geeky about myself? I read Dell’s catalog as if it was the Sears Christmas Wishbook. I’m also about to post how I want to skin my laptop with Hello Kitty crap, or frog crap. I think this alone covers both the geekness and the girlie requirements.
I know I’m a geek girl because:
1) I have more fun on the computer than in real life.
2) My blog’s name is “ultimate geek girl”
3) I write a weekly series called “Geek Girl”
4) I have so many gadgets that I have to schedule when to use them.
5) I’m always testing out new software and hardware.
I think my site name says it all haha!! I tend to blog about gaming (often World of Warcraft), blogging, making money online and just all around geekery that you wouldn’t expect from a girl!
Hmmm… me thinks - unix geek for 11 years now… major internet addict - same length of time… I have not one but two differet roomba robot floor cleaners… I’ve had a smartphone for 5 years… I have a wireless lan at home and three laptops but I live alone… well I’m the only human in my house - I do have two chihuahuas and three cats living here but I try to keep them off the laptops. Oh and I also still have ethernet run to the main rooms of my house in case I feel the need to wire up… yes… I am a geek…
